Which college is better for B.Tech in CSE: SRM University - NCR Campus or SRM University, Chennai?

I'll help you by breaking it down for you: Infrastructure & Facilities : SRM Univeristy, Chennai (Kattankulathur) has 250 acre campus, a 100 MBPS wi-fi connection all throughout the campus, 4 floor library building, shuttle bus covering all parts of the campus so don't have to cover the distance on foot. No other SRM campus as big and developed as the main campus. EVENTS Tons and tons of events take place everyday. You just need to be aware and be open to participation. Aarush and Milan being the two main college festivals, which takes care of a lot of happenings and is something not present in any other campus. Clubs & Associations There are hundreds of clubs waiting for you to do the rightful and no other campus has as much opportunities and clubs as the main campus. Placements While the placement for all SRM branches takes place at the main campus, you need to be really strong on your academics for getting at par with the main campus students as they are assumed to be better than others. B.Tech in CSE: SRM University - NCR Campus is better because: Placements: Placements were fine, means at least 90% of the seniors got placed. The lowest salary was 4 lakhs and the maximum was 18 lakhs. Companies like IBM, Microsoft, Infosys and Wipro came. This year, 30 to 40% got internships were from the college itself. The stipend was offered from a minimum of 1,000 to maximum of 5,000. The college offers a placement rate of 99%. Infrastructure: In the hostel, Wi-Fi high-speed routers are there. You can use Wi-Fi with any number of devices and with no limitation on usage except some sites and torrents that are blocked. But Wi-Fi is switched off during the lecture hours. The classrooms and labs are air conditioned but in some rooms, AC doesn't work properly. The library is good with very few people and you can issue any book for 14 days and reissue it 6 times. A doctor is available from 5'o clock but no pharmacy is built inside the campus although ambulance facility is there 247 and comes within 15 minutes of call. There is a single ground for football and cricket but the ground is big enough to play both games side by side. A basketball court and a sports room are also built with 5-6 TT tables. The canteen food is okayish but you can always order food from local vendors. Hostel rooms are sufficiently big and ventilated. You can also opt for an AC room with additional 40k per year. The overall infrastructure is well built but the problem is it is quite small compared to other colleges. Faculty: Faculty members are mostly well educated and have ample knowledge of their field. But the main problem with many faculty members is that their voice or accent most of the time is not understandable. Many of them use a projector and others use the board but some just come, turn on the projector and show slides only. The student to faculty ratio is enough. We are 60 students in a single class. Talking about the industrial exposure, industrial training is necessary for our curriculum for each and every student but industrial exposure from the college is very rare. But the main advantage is that we have 2-3 optional subjects and that too from the current emerging fields like machine learning. So you have a head start in all these fields here.

Talking about SRM NCR-The campus located in Sonipat is new and is still in progress. AC classrooms have been provided to the students. Students looking for co-curricular activities will not be disappointed. The faculty here is a combination of knowledgeable members and rookies. University is spread over 48 acres. It was only this year that the first batch passed out from the university and not much companies came for placements this year. SRM Chennai-The infrastructure of the university is quite good. Students willing to opt for CSE have good chances of getting placed in best companies with a good salary package.Students looking for clubs and activities will be happy to be here. Faculty is also good here.

The main campus in Chennai is anyday better than the NCR campus.The Chennai campus is better in almost all respects as it has a huge campus with excellent infrastructure and a vibrant campus life. The exposure you will get in the main campus is no match for NCR one as people all over the country and the world come here to study. The campus is wifi enabled with a food court inside and a 4 storeyed library. The faculty is also better in this campus than the NCR one. You might think that food will be a problem but it's really not, you get everything here and the city is also around 20 kms far. The placements are same as students from other campuses come to the main campus for placements. So the opportunities will be pretty much the same in that respect. In conclusion, I would say that the main campus would better than the NCR one.
