One of my known has completed B.Tech CSE from Lovely professional university and currently he is working with Amazon with the highest package. He has learnt a lot from LPU. Reviews are pretty good. LPU is helping him grow professionally and personally with its career-oriented programs and support. He told me, LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. LPU adopts new technologies faster than anyone, they update their curriculum even after each semester by taking feedback from the students and also to meet the latest standards. LPU focuses on practical knowledge a lot, they have high tech labs and dedicated MAC lab for iOS development, each core subject has a different practical subject for it. Also in today generation knowledge and education is not only based on textbooks but also on the outside world, thinking out of the box and overall learning that's why LPU offers their students to participate in a lot of activities and events, the environment of LPU is very good and the academics tasks of LPU are so well planned that even in a course like Engineering you'll be able to manage time for exploring other things. Both have good placement but in case of infrastructure and facility LPU is better. The placements are very similar in the colleges mentioned, this is because all three are in Bangalore and the same companies visit these campuses to recruit students. You may have an odd company visiting only one of these campuses but the average salary is the same and the same profiles are offered at all of them. From both the colleges that you have mentioned above, the best college for the CSE branch as according to my knowledge is RVCE, as this college has best infra, quality placements and experienced faculty.

For CSE these two colleges are affiliated to Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology and thus have the same syllabus and curriculum. Both the colleges are known for their top ranks amongst the best colleges of India as well as in Bangalore. These two colleges are known for their infrastructure, faculties and facilities like labs, sports complex and hospital. So there is not much of a comparison between these two colleges on the basis of infrastructure, faculties and facilities. Now let's talk about the placements: MSRIT brings many multinational companies during placements and have about more than 300+ companies in the placements. RVCE falls short in this department and does not have many multinational companies in their placement. Now about some facts: In MSRIT- Average package offered in Computer Science Engineering is about 6 to 7 lakh per annum. Highest package is about 50 lakh per annum. In RVCE- Average package offered in Computer Science Engineering is about 9.7 lakh per annum. Highest package is about 25 lakh per annum. According to me, MSRIT would be the best option for you to choose between these two colleges as it ranks higher than RVCE.

We can compare the two colleges on the basis of the following parameters: Location: Both the colleges are located in Bangalore which is the silicon valley of India and is a hub for most of the software giants. Hence, the opportunities for securing internships and final placements are plenty. Intellectual capital: RVCE has an advantage here as it is the best college in the state and attracts the top rankers. MSRIT would be third or fourth in that ranking (after BMS and PES), hence the pedigree at RVCE is better. Faculty: Both these colleges boast of great faculty members who have multiple research papers and books under their names. Hence, there is not much to choose between the two on this front. Student life and activities: Again, not much to choose but RVCE has a more vibrant campus life and has a great technical festival. Also, CISCO has setup a lab here (CoE) which helps it to get a better industry recognition Placements: If you compare the median and mean CTCs, RVCE is slightly ahead of MSRIT. The average package of RVCE is around 9 LPA for the CSE branch, whereas, it is 6 LPA for MSRIT. Also, industry giants like Cisco, Morgan Stanley, Microsoft, Bosch, Infosys and Walmart labs flock RVCE. On the other hand, MSRIT gets mainly mid tier software firms but some top tier firms also visit the campus for recruiting students with great technical knowledge. Both the colleges are able to secure more than 90% placements for CSE. Alumni network: RVCE is an older college and due to its legacy, it has a better alumni network.

Both the colleges that you have mentioned here are among the best of the private colleges in Bangalore, where RVCE being on the top of the list and MSRIT being on the 3 position on the same list. Now to talk about the faculty, RVCE has the better of two faculty, which is more experienced, knowledgeable, and qualified at the same time. RVCE is a little stricter regarding attendance while MSRIT is comparatively lenient. Also even a mediocre student at RVCE manages to grab a placement of around 6-7 lacs, as they are trained to get through placements well, while it is not so at MSRIT. Coming to placements, the average placement for RVCE in computer science branch is approximately 9-10 lacs while the same for MSRIT being 7-8 lacs. RVCE boasts of a 95% batch placement and so is the case for MSRIT, but only slightly lesser. The highest placement offered at RVCE is also much more than that of MSRIT being 46 lacs. Hi, The answer to your question involves multiple dynamics and it is not possible to answer it in terms of a single factor. So, I'll try to include multiple factors for you to understand it better. Faculty: Both the colleges have equally knowledgeable faculty. However, professors in RVCE are inclined towards research. This is the reason why you would see multiple patents coming out of the department. Also, CISCO has established COE (Center of Excellence) within the college wherein the company supports students innovations and fund their projects. Infrastructure: Both the colleges have multiple labs. RVCE has an added advantage of particular labs set up by companies like Nvidia which provides excellence in the specific domain. Placements: Placement is something that every student is concerned about more than anything else. Well, both the colleges have equally good placements. RVCE-CSE current semester placements boast the package of 25 LPA and still counting. These are offered by top giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Cisco, Morgan Stanley, Walmart Labs, Mckinsey & Co., etc. While both the colleges are equally good in terms of placements, I would suggest you go for RVCE if you are planning to go for Master's degree right after the college.
