IEM has a better work culture. If you want to study hard and do something big in academics then go for IEM. There is a continuous pressure of practicals and assignments and tests, so one have to be extremely determined and sincere in order to last in IEM. Timely submissions is mandatory. So, 4 years

Both are the top private engineering colleges of Kolkata,so you can choose any one of them,but if you want me to take one out of it then I will go with IEM because of slightly better placements.

Both of these technical colleges have good faculties, good student atmosphere. It depends on how you look at it. These technical institutes aim at making you a good engineer.
