The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a two-year-long post-graduate course focused on making students industry-ready in domains like finance, marketing, and human resource management. Among colleges that offer this course, the Institute of Management Research and Technology (IMRT) in Lucknow and the School of Management Sciences (SMS) in Varanasi are counted among the top colleges. In comparative analysis, IMRT Lucknow's total fee for MBA is Rs. 24 lakh, which includes a free laptop, study materials, and business suit as per the college dress code. And for SMS Varanasi, the total course fee for MBA is just 2.40 lakh. Therefore, it could be more economical. On the placement front, SMS's official website claims to provide more than 90% college placement. According to the website for the year 2021, the highest package provided by the company was 10 LPA and the lowest was 3.88 LPA. Leading companies such as ITC, Axis Bank, and Berger Paints offer campus placement here. While for IMRT there is no such official data available, according to multiple websites, more than 80% of students got placed in recent years and the highest package offered was 39 LPA. The average package is 8 to 10 LPA, offered by top recruiting companies like HCL, IBM, Wipro, etc. making it better in terms of average placement. Both colleges have some of the best faculty in the country and offer quality training-based learning to students. So you can prefer either of them based on your suitability.
