Which college is better for mechanical among MSRIT and NIE? I am from middle class family. I have scored 6142 in KCET.

NIE mechanical is supposedly the best mechanical stream in Karnataka. The teaching is really good with 70% placements in core companies, it is higher than any other college. The average salary package in mechanical engineering would be around Rs.4 lakhs p.a.

Well that again depends on your choice... there's information science in NIE, eee or IP. I'll not sure about the branches in MSRIT
