Which college is better for pursuing B.Tech in CSE: VIT, Vellore or SRM, Chennai?

Dear Prachi, CSE being a highly dynamic field needs the curriculum up gradations almost continuously, All these big names somehow lack the dynamism required for this programme, you cannot afford to be left with obsolete technologies and skills ! LPU is only one of the few private universities which has recognised this and developed the process of continuous feedback and consultations with industry to upgrade the syllabi in real time ! Coming to infrastructure, the huge 600 acre plus campus which is equipped with each and every machinery, equipment an software required in all the programs is a wonder in itself, just for an example, more than 10 companies have established the centers for excellence within the campus with their own investment to keep an eye on the abundant talent ! The central library is one massive 6 story building with lacs of books and network to produce any title anytime ! And this is in addition to many other libraries in all the departments. Industry plays important part in shaping the careers of students at LPU, from consulting for curriculum, to guest lectures, industry interface, internships, consulting projects, establishing centers, providing machinery and equipment's, software, certifications and finally immersing the students from campus. Attracting 30000 plus students, 200 international universities and more than 600 companies from all over the world to its state of the art multicultural campus year after year after year speaks volumes about LPU. Hello Prachi VIT Vellore is comparatively better than that of SRM. VIT is a growing institute among Privates. Also its rank is quite decent among top engineering institutes declared my MHRD. The CSE placement of VIT is similar to that of NITs. Dig online for articles and Chose judiciouly. Thank you.

Hi, LPU is the best place when it comes to engineering. To commence with the curriculum, all the subjects you are going to study, their syllabus is designed keeping in mind the industry demands and the syllabus is vetted by company officials. Different specializations are offered to students depending upon the stream they want to opt for. For example- In CSE, they offer cyber security, IoT, data Science, machine learning, and many more. Moreover, they give you the option for pathway elective that whether you want to be in the corporate sector, higher studies, Government Job, or entrepreneur. In addition to it, the classes you have to attend regularly. They did not compromise with the academics of the students. If any faculty is on leave, the classes are either adjusted or makeup lectures are planned. The University also provides the option of credit transfer and international exposure to its students. If I talk about the placements, the preparation for placements starts from the very first year. Many top recruiters visit the LPU campus to employ graduates, such as Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Capgemini, Bosch, TCS, and several other firms. Hello! I would say explore more options. I have done my Engineering from LPU and today I am a proud alumnus of LPU. I am not so aware about others, so I won't be able to comment on same. But I will share my experience, I hope it helps. Engineering at LPU is a complete and perfect blend of learning and fun. I remember my days of engineering at LPU, how I use to rush for 9 am class and spend hours on my assignments. Engineering is a blend and balance of book learning and practical learning. LPU creates the content in such a way that learning becomes easier for the students. Faculty members are so experienced that they are able to sense how much we have grabbed in his class. University provides all the resources and techniques to make learning easier and also at the same time prepare the students keep to cope up with the corporate world. LPU provides you with all the facilities required to be a good engineer. I had a splendid experience with the faculty members, placement mentor and officers. Infrastructure: University has well-equipped labs with all the latest technologies for learning and development. Double Storey Central Library, equipped with computer labs and all the required books and curriculum, open for students till mid night 12. Not just this all the facilities in university is worth appreciating. The quality of the facilities provided in our hostel was top notch. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen were great. Medical facilities provided were splendid. Infrastructure is good. All resources are available. College provide Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library. Faculty: Teachers were qualified. They have a good knowledge of the courses they teach. They are very helpful and supportive. Quality of teaching provided is top quality. The teachers are really very supportive. Course curriculum is structured perfectly. It makes the students industry ready. Placements: In my batch I remember, almost 95% students were placed and there were many who got the multiple package as well. The highest package was around 42 Lacs per annum. All the students were trained professionally from their first year onwards. The University provides maximum opportunities to students. It depends upon the students whether they want to grab the opportunity or not. Most students who do not have backlogs or reappears gets placed. Students who were not so good in academics, they were enrolled in more PEP classes to help them in placement. I hope this helps. All the Best!

If you are seeking admission in an engineering college then I would like to refer VIT as the first preference. It is one of the most reputed private colleges after BITS-Pilani. It is the best option in every context whether it is the environment, placement, fest, exposure or anything else. SRM is also a good college but if we compare it with VIT then VIT is better.

Both are good but in the case of infrastructure, placement and facility LPU is better than any other University. LPU is much better than any other University. Dear Prachi, My brother has completed B.Tech CSE from Lovely professional university and currently he is working with Amazon with the highest package. He has learnt a lot from LPU. Reviews are pretty good. He told me students are exposed to various fields like Cloud Computing, IoT, Data Science, Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Big Data, Databases and Information Systems, Android Programming, Computer Architecture, programme Methodology, and Algorithms Design. He also said, With the advancement of course you'll be learning numerous programming languages. In the third year SAP will be introduced in the curriculum. Limited number of Universities provide this course. Here in LPU, students will learn SAP for the entire third year providing them an edge.
