Which college is better for pursuing CSE: LPU or VIT?

Dear Jakka Vamsi Krishna, Both VIT and LPU are better and growing private universities. But being alumni of LPU, I will share the CSE details of LPU only as I am not aware of the same at VIT University. I have done my MBA from LPU and one of my friend's younger brothers is studying over there in B.Tech CSE. There are a few points I would like to share about why CSE is good at LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft. LPU has a very good placement and achieved awards for employability also. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the programme. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students based on their academics, extracurricular activities, and other factors. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Tie-ups: B.Tech in CSE has tie-ups with industries that help students to explore themselves more in their field such as IBM, Intel, Xebia, Upgrade, etc. Specializations: CSE students get many specializations while studying CSE to enhance their knowledge according to their interests such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Data Science, etc. Apart from this, many opportunities and scholarships are there in LPU while studying for bright students in academics and extracurricular activities. Vamsi, LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs, etc. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. Big companies like Google, Tech Mahendra, Cognizant, Amazon, Adobe, etc come for recruitment purpose. Most of the CSE students are placed in good companies with high package. University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes. Students have been offered package as high as 20 lacs pa. Both LPU and VIT offers B.Tech CSE programme with unique curriculum and placements. As per my experience, I must say that LPU provides great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. LPU is far way ahead with any other institute in many parameters such as rankings, exposure and placements. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Let me highlight what I have out figured: LPU adopts new technologies faster than anyone, they update their curriculum even after each semester by taking feedback from the students and also to meet the latest standards. Well when I consider the overview I find LPU better. As LPU curriculum and pedagogy is very effective. On a basic note, both of them are good. But if you go deep comparing the two, LPU will give a greater advantage if you choose it for CSE. The first and the foremost thing is the placements. Let me tell you that every coming year, they are attaining a new benchmark as far as the placements are considered. Around 600 companies coming to the campus for placements and trust me, this isn't a thing you get to SEE everywhere. Also, around 50% of them offer dream packages. In those 600 companies more than 100 companies are those who also recruit from IITs and NITs. Also, LPU has got a very huge and clean 600 acre campus with a very good infrastructure. LPU has all the facilities here like hospital banks, gyms, post office, fire station, in house laundry service, etc. And as far as the sports are concerned you will get all of them here from Olympic sized swimming pools to multiple basketball courts, cricket ground, skating ground, archery, etc.

LPU is Great in teaching, placements, infrastructure or other facilities. It provides specialisation also in Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Big Data, etc. With a great curriculum which is benchmarked with foreign universities. Placements are also good. CSE students got placement in Amazon with a package of 28 LPA. As per the last year record of LPU, the average packages in CSE are from 4 to 10 LPA. LPU prepares student for placement by giving lot of extra inputs like personality development class, soft skills class, etc.

VIT is a far better option for B.Tech CSE in comparison to your other options because of its reputation, faculty, facilities and placement records.
