In my opinion, PIBM is a good college as I have done my PGDM from PIBM Pune, so I can share my experience. According to my opinion both the colleges are good but being an Alumni, I would suggest that PIBM is the best B-school In India which provide quality education to the students and helps them shape their career in a better way. It is NAAC accredited, ranked amongst the top 100 B-Schools in India by NIRF, 21st in top Private B-School in India & 13th in western India by Times B-School, and many more. I am not sure about SBIIMS but my brother has done his PGDM marketing from PIBM, he got placed in a top MNC. Being an ex-student of PIBM he often tells me, I would like to share his experience with you which might shed some light on your question. PIBMs focus is on producing complete Management Professionals who are not just trained on various domains such as Finance, Marketing, and HR etc. But are given specialised training on specific profiles under these domains. Among the two, PIBM Pune is a much better option to choose due to its better brand name, ROI, and good placements. It's a pretty good college especially for pursuing Finance.
