Presently Karnataka State Open University is offering B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in distance mode. As the University is a state University recognised by UGC, AIU, DEC. You may consider joining the course as in distance education their is no option except this.

Dear Ajay,As per AICTE norms engineering courses in distance mode is not recognized .Yes you can go for AMIE which will be better.
