Which college should I choose with a rank of 1242 in JEE Mains?
I am getting IIT-Indore for CS and IIT-Kanpur and Kharagpur for mechanical engineering.

Congrats on getting a good rank . these IITs are one among the top IITs in India. All IITs are good but Kanpur and Kharagpur are the better ones.
First, go by your interest. if you want to do mechanical engineering, then opt for Kanpur and Kharagpur. If you want to do CSE then go for IIT Indore.
I won't say that IIT Indore is equal to Kanpur and Kharagpur but the placements and the reputation are good.
if you want CSE alone instead of core branch like mechanical then you can go for IIT Indore.
