I GOT 87 PERCENTILE IN XAT .I AM A FRESHER WITH ECONOMICS BACKGROUND . I HAVE GOT FINAL ADMISSION CALLS FROM THESE TWO INSTITUTES .RESULT OF TAPMI IS AWAITED .

IFMR is much more renowned and old compared to XIME. IFMR is better for people inclined towards Finance. XIME being in Bangalore will continue to enjoy the location advantage. Do more research and try to talk to seniors or friends in both the institutes before choosing one.
