Dhruv, Both are decent in their own capacity, but not the best as CSE is highly sought after and has maximum opportunities among all the streams. But change is the only constant in computer engineering. LPU has adjusted dynamically to the continuous updations and changes in the industry. As an Educator I would compare the universities on following: Curriculum : If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback of industry. Since it is a highly dynamic field, you cant afford a program which is stuck in obsolete technologies and syllabi. Pedagogy : The teaching pedagogy forma the backbone of how the program is delivered, more the practical, better it is. Maximum exposure to practicals and internships more chances of becoming a well rounded professional. Technology: The businesses and the business functions are now highly tech driven, the tech program must have the exposure and training of the same. The world leading technologies like SAP, GitHub, Advance excel etc are must for any professional to succeed in career. Industry interface: Ultimately its the industry which is going to immerse the students in the placements, the regular industrial talks, interactions, lectures, visits and internships are must have in any tech program. Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days, the personality, ethics, virtuous, speech, body language, interpersonal skills etc are given high importance in the organisations. The program must include the training or modules on all these. Diversity: As he world shrinks into a aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross cultural teams having entirely different work culture and ethos, the national and international diversity of students in a college is helpful in enabling the students develop right sensibilities for such work atmosphere. Entrepreneurship : Even though most of the students go for jobs, the exposure to entrepreneurship is required. This helps the professionals know how the other departments and the profit center heads work, what are the expectations etc. The college must have innovation labs, design thinking and business incubator. Placements : The program is only means to the end ! And desired end of such course is a placement. You must check if the college/university has sold track record of placements or not. Hi, Both the universities are doing equally good but here I would prefer recent NIRF rankings released by MHRD. But LPU is miles ahead than a mentioned name. I believe that Chitkara University is a good option for engineering as a student there. Yes, anyone can apply for admission in Chitkara for CSE programme but the student must have passed class 12th with a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. If you are eligible for the course, you have to go through a simple procedure to get your admission in Computer Science Engineering programme at Chitkara University. The classrooms of the institution are spacious, the labs are fitted with modern technology and the expenditure on the fees is quite ordinary. Both the Universities are good. But being an Alumni of LPU, I would prefer you to go for LPU for best placement. Lovely Professional University is a relatively new university which got an independent status as late as 2006. It is one of the fastest growing private universities in India, with excellent infrastructure and a very diverse study environment, which is well established and better in terms of overall performance, doing extraordinary in the field of development and advancement in various fields.
