Dear Aki, I personally believe and recommend LPU for the CSE programme. I have also done my MBA from LPU and one of my friend's younger brothers is studying over there in B.Tech CSE. There are some points I would like to share about why CSE is good from LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft in 2020. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students on the basis of their academics and extracurricular activities and other factors. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Tie-ups: B.Tech in CSE has tie-ups with upgrade which helps students to explore themselves more in their field. Being an alumni I would like to answer this. I want to say that LPU is doing phenomenal work for the upliftment of the students and that could be justified through following: Frequent guest lectures/ workshops are also organized for them by the university. , Ministry of Science Technology Advisory Monitoring Committee Meeting was held where 42 Scientists from various top universities like IITs, NITs, top Central and State Universities including (LPU) from across the country presented their research proposals. The syllabus is updated every 6 months which personally, It has separate lab facilities available for each course like robotics Lab, research lab, postgraduate lab, aviation lab, lab for fashion designing, advance kitchen lab etc. Faculty members are highly qualified, most of the faculty members have done their Ph.D. and others are pursuing, they have at least minimum of 5 years of experience and ample amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical knowledge. They are cooperative and whenever you need their help, they are ready to help you out. PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering: Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning) Quantitative Aptitude Skills Technical Aptitude Skills Presentations and Soft Skills Mock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc. ). All a student has to do is to maintain a good academic record and personality to ensure his/her placement. Some of the OTHER MAIN POINTS: faculty members, studying in LPU will get a degree accredited from a body of USA. 1. LPU got the highest ranking according to Impact Ranking 2021 2. Without any bias towards any particular college, I will offer you my own perspective. It depends on your end goals or objectives. Most of the Engineering Colleges in India don't focus much on developing the overall personality of the student. Anyways Your decision making should not be on the basis of placements, packages but on quality of students ( your peer group), faculty, infrastructure, curriculum, and the alumni network. My brother has completed B.Tech CSE from Lovely Professional University and currently he is working in Amazon with the highest package. So through him I come to know about University and few other things which I would like to discuss:- LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. Professors are easily approachable in the college and are well experienced. They are very supportive of all technicalities. Students can contact them anytime for their study purpose. The latest teaching methods are used in the classroom. The placements on the campus is good enough. It is the best university in the North of India to give the best packages in B.Tech (CSE). During the time of my brother induction, I have seen a few students who got placed in the companies with a package of 42 LPA. The university placement drive undoubtedly works hard for the students to get placed. Just before Final Year of your course, a special team called School of Professional Enhancement will prepare students for upcoming placements and you won't get a day off from placements, every day a company comes to campus. Its just up to you how well you can do and never lose Patience you will get placed, you just have to prepare well for that. First of all both these Universities are in the Northern part of India and offer almost similar curriculum but it is important to consider a consistent performer in terms of Placements and for that, I must advise that one must go for Lovely Professional University. I have my cousin who is pursuing a B.Tech in CSE there. LPU offers B.Tech in various programmes such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology, etc. 1.
