    You should first complete your class 12th with economics and mathematics as the essential subjects and try to score above 90% so that, you get admission in economics honors course in reputed universities which is usually done on merit basis. After graduation, you may opt for post-graduation in economics or go for competitive exams like Indian Economic Service or Reserve Bank of India Grade B.
