Which computer course is better and why: O level or PGDCA?

DOEACC O Level (Foundation course in Computer Application) Eligibility: 10+2 passed or ITI Certificate passed (one year after class 10) Duration: 1 year (Semester System) Certificate Awarding Body: NIELIT (formerly DOEACC Society) 'O' level is a most popular course for government jobs. DOEACC is now formally known as NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology). O Level Course is equivalent to a foundation level course in computer applications. Students can acquire this qualification by undergoing this course and passing the examination organized by the NIELIT Society. PGDCA or Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications is a post graduation course that can be done after the graduation by students from any stream. Computer applications in various fields like banking, insurance, accounting etc is very much required in today's world. It is a one-year full-time course but students have the option of doing 2-year part-time course also. Career options after PGDCA- -They can get employed in organisations like IT Firms, Research Firms, and Banking Industry etc. -They can work in job profiles like Application Developer, Database Administrator, and IT Support Technician, etc.

'O' level course is a basic course while a PGDCA Diploma is supposed to be more advanced. DOEACC 'A' level course is considered equivalent to PGDCA course though. O' level course of DOEACC scheme is equivalent to a foundation level course in computer applications. Students can acquire this qualification by undergoing this course and passing the examination conducted by the DOEACC society. Whereas, PGDCA is Post Graduate Diploma In Computer Application. It allows students to seek professional computer knowledge. PGDCA gives students the career prospects of becoming System Analyst, Software Engineer, Training Faculty, EDP Manager and many more. One can use these PG Diplomas with their respective Bachelor's degrees to acquire jobs that require both computer and specific knowledge. Working professionals can also appear in this examination directly, provided they possess the requisite educational qualification as indicated below. Whereas, PGDCA is Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application.
