  • CIWG stands for Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries. CIWG is a category under the DASA scheme. It was started by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, mainly for the children of Indian expatriates (NRIs, OCIs, and PIOs) in Gulf countries who wanted to study at the top engineering colleges, including IITs and NITs. The countries that are under CIWG are the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, and Oman.
