Along with CAT, you can also start preparing for XAT as it will help you to get admission in other B-schools such as Xavier's and LIBA. You can also give SNAP because if you want Symbiosis College then you need to appear for SNAP. If tax is your specialization then you can work with any good CA firm for a year after completing B.Com and can prepare for MBA entrance again next year.

Hi,
Your question is not complete.
By 'qualify' you mean the minimum percentage in degree?
or
Fail in CAT?
If you want to go to good colleges other than IIMs there are other entrance examinations like XAT, SNAP, NMAT and MAT.
Other courses you can pursue other than MBA are PGDBF (post graduate diploma in banking and finance) which can be pursued from banks (with tie ups of Manipal Institute or other such institutes) like Axis bank, Baroda bank, IDBI bank, federal bank etc. where you will get posted into respective banks after successful completion of the course.
