    Hello Namith,
Marine engineering is one branch where in placements are almost assured. With increasing freight traffic over the seas, cargo vessels are increasing in the world and this in turn has increased requirements of Marine engineers. On the other hand chemical engineering branch too offers good employment opportunities with newer fields opening up for engineers of this branch. Seen from other perspectives, disturbance from family life is perhaps more in former than latter. Hence before selecting you should give this aspect some consideration.
    Best wishes to you.

It is all about our knowledge, and interest in that particular department. If you choose marine that will be good and make sure your placement should be in standard company.
