Dear Pusan, B.Tech in Civil has more scope than the other one. The main scope of civil engineering or the task of civil engineering is planning, designing, estimating, supervising construction, managing construction, execution, and maintenance of structures like building, roads, bridges, dams, etc. The career scope of civil engineers is huge worldwide - as according to a new research report by Global Marketing Insights, Inc, the market size of civil engineering is expected to grow up USD 11.72 trillion by 2025. As per my experience, LPU is the best engineering college in India. LPU becomes the best place to pursue an engineering degree

There is a good scope for both the courses. Everything depends upon your hard work and determination. If you love to study and apply technology, then you can go for B.Tech.
    Best of luck.

    Hi,
There is no comparison between these two programs as it totally depend on your interest and target. Through both the programs, you can get good salary, profile, government jobs and you can take chance for civil services.
If you have interest in construction planning and building, then you can choose civil and if you have interest in financial research, market analysis and budget planning, then you can go for economic.
    All the best.

B.Tech in civil is better, if you have interest in imagining the structure and putting it on the sheet with accuracy. It needs more of precision and accurate drawings. If you are much interested in macro and micro factors affecting a country's economy and good in interpretations, then economics is a better option.
