There is absolutely no difference between these 2 (when we talk about India; not sure about foreign institutes, but it should stay the same).
The colleges like IIMs give you a PGPM/PGDM, while colleges like FMS, SP-Jain, give you an MBA degree.
What matters is the reputation of college you get into, the type of degree/diploma you get is irrelevant.

Hi Julie, PGDM has more Scope than MBA. Course structure of PGDM is always altered as per the current scenario in the global world whereas MBA is a prescribed course in which course structure is decided by universities and are altered in approximately 5 years. So, in current market scenario i would suggest you to go for PGDM as it will give yo global exposure and for pursuing PGDM i would suggest you JIMS rohini as it is one of the best B school in Delhi/NCR and has experienced and knowledgeable faculty as well as good placement record

    Dear,
It is so true that MBA and PGDM are a little bit different. It is just because PGDM provides you to live in the management circumstances while MBA provides you the important knowledge and helps you learn the basic way to manage an organsation. I would suggest you that you can pursue any of the course to understand the managing power and will also suggest you JIMS rohini, if you go for PGDM. The college provides many live project and intership options which will enhance your managerial personality.

Hello, Look every coin has two sides , a fair one and dark one same is with MBA and PGDM. If you have any issues regarding to fee then choose MBA otherwise choose PGDM, PGDM always has an edge over MBA in many ways like PGDM course is revived every year according to current scenerio whereas MBA has an old course from 15 years in some Universities with no alteration. Look always for PGDM and choose Bschool wisely. Some colleges are good in providing PGDM like JIMS Rohini , It is one of the best college in Delhi/NCR. PGDM is a Diploma and MBA is a degree but PGDM is better than MBA in all aspects.

    Hi Julie,
I must say that PGDM has better scope than MBA. Join a best b-school which has great academic record who can provide you more exposure to the practicle and placement record for bright career. JIMS Rohini is one of them. You can plan to do PGDM from there.
    Good Luck !
