    Listed as Institute of National Importance - IIM is also providing PGDM which is treated as most valued post graduate diploma in Management education by the Industry.

    Both are equivalent Ropesh.MBA and PGDM are both management courses yet the only difference is the approach to its curriculum. MBA give more focus to the syllabus framed by the university and no change is bought in for years. As for PGDM the focus is more on the current industrial demands and requirements. The curriculum of PGDM gets slightly changed every year. The flexibility provided by PGDM is the key success factor of the course. MBA only provides degree to institutes associated to a university, while PGDM is not affiliated to any university and has its own syllabus.     MBA is offered by universities or colleges affiliated with universities and PGDM is offeres by AICTE approved institute. In PGDM you will get to learn more practical things in comparison to MBA. Good Luck.

    Hi Roopesh,
    PGDM is run by an autonomous body.While taking up PDGM, the advantage you get is that it being an autonomous body, they regularly update their syllabus so one can say as compared to MBA courses. Whereas an MBA, this change happens every 3-5 years. Both hold the same value in today's time. In what field would you like to do your MBA?
