Both the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and B.Tech in Information Technology (IT) programs at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) you can preffer . However, some say that the 2024 batch at IET is not getting good placements. As of March 2024, the highest package for the CSE branch is 12 LPA and the lowest is 1.8 LPA. In 2022, the average package offered to IET Lucknow students was Rs 8.80 Lacs per annum. About 65% of students are placed at AKTU, with the highest package being 19 LPA and the lowest being 3.5 LPA. Companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro offer placements

Generally, B.Tech CSE (Computer Science Engineering) is likely to have better placements compared to B.Tech IT (Information Technology) at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), AKTU.CSE graduates are in higher demand across various industries due to the foundational knowledge they gain in computer Science principles, algorithms, and programming languages. This makes them suitable for a wider range of software development roles moreover CSE curriculum delves deeper into core computer Science areas like operating systems, computer architecture, and complex data structures, which are valuable assets in the job market.
