    Hi Raghav,
BCA is a professional degree and B.Sc is an academic one. If you wish to make your career in IT only with some application development than select BCA. But, if you want extra than go with B.Sc computer Science because it is a very big field. It contain IT itself.
Computer Science field is a combination of IT, mathematics (computing), statistics, hardware, graphics, electronics and many more field.
BCA restrict you for only application development, database and web development, while with B.Sc you can do some extra ordinary things.

    Hi,
If the word scope means job opportunity immediately after completing graduation in the respective fields as you mentioned, so BCA has more job potential. BCA is a professional degree and IT industry prefers professionals.

If you are from a Science background, and want your career in computer Science, please do B.Tech CS instead of B.Sc. Hons. CS. There is no value of B.Sc. Hons CS. Eventually you will have to do M.Sc. Or MCA. Companies prefer B.Tech students over B.SC/BCA/MCA/M.Sc students. Even if you get a job, the package will be low. After B.Sc. You will not be eligible for GATE. Now, if you are from a commerce background, then do BCA instead of B.Sc. CS. As it will give you more practical knowledge.

BCA is the better option than B.Sc. IT and if you pursue MCA after that then it will surely boost your career and give you a better chance of getting a good job. Because BCA comparatively has high scope.
