Which course has better scope and salary: B.Arch or B.Tech in civil engineering?

Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. Civil Engineering is much broader than Architecture and deals with the design, planning, and construction of buildings, roads, bridges, dams, tunnels, and other infrastructure projects. Civil engineers are involved in all the construction phases (designing, planning, overseeing the construction process). However Arch is the most preferable programme. The students get a lot of opportunity for getting a job or for pursuing a Masters degree abroad after completing a Bachelors in Architecture. Moreover, in general, civil engineers are equipped with more knowledge than architects in terms of complex mathematics, analysis and structural design and so they are paid more than architects. Both do. The two fields are splendid in their own way. But if B.Arch is more artistic. If you dream of seeing your name for a skyscraper then B.Arch is the right choice for you. Both B.Tech and B.Arch are very good courses but you have to choose one according to your interest as well as your performance. B.Tech is Bachelor of technology- It mainly deals with technology field. If you are strong in mathematics and physics then you may choose it as your career option. You have to study totally based on technology. B.Arch stands for Bachelor of Architecture- It is also related to technology but mainly it deals with designing part of the architecture. To become a good architecture, you must be a good designer. If you like physics mathematics as well as designing then go for architecture. If you become a very good architect then scope and opportunity both will be very high for you. Now, you have to decide in which field you have more interest and in which way you want to go. The career opportunities for architects are very high because of the boom in the construction and designing fields. They are demanded in various government and private organisations. You can work in the sectors of construction, urban planning, urban development corporations, public works departments, interior designing, etc. Architects have lots of job opportunities in architect firms, universities, consultancy companies, etc. Global market, especially in the USA, Australia and Dubai provide attractive career and jobs for architecture graduates. Architects can work in the office as well as in the construction site. In construction companies, they are working as a designer. You can also work independently and earn occupation through consultancy charges that depend upon your skills, profile and experience.
