Both MBA and CA are dynamic career option. An MBA is a post-graduation course that you can do only if you have passed your graduation. CA on the other hand is a professional degree course that can be applied for after the twelfth standard or after graduation. Choice of the course is purely based on your interest and the area you wish to work in. The scope of work for a CA is mainly in the field of finance and accounting area whereas MBAs have more diversity to choose from. Many students even decide to pursue MBA Finance after they have completed CA. Being a high-investment course, pursuing an MBA should be a calculated decision for any student. The decision depends on your area of interest. -If you like accountancy and want to study the same further plus you accounting concepts are quite clear then go for CA. -And if you like business management and finance as well, then go for MBA. But the scope of MBA is quite wider than that of CA as latter majorly focuses on one subject and on the other side MBA is a mixture of many subjects. There is a vast career scope in MBA in several areas of business along with effective knowledge in management, analysis, and business strategy. On the other hand, chartered accountancy deals with specialisation in all fields of business and finance. Hence the scope of work for a CA is mainly in the field of finance and accounting area whereas MBAs have more diversity to choose from. If you are a CA then your stating salary will be higher then the normal MBA students but the main thing is if you pass out from Big B school like IIM then you are getting much higher pay then the CA.
