Which course has greater job opportunities and better salary packages: marine engineering or petroleum engineering?

Both fields have equal job opportunities. But, Petroleum industry witness lots of up's and down's in a year. You can't predict the exact nature of petroleum field. I would say Marine engineering has an upper hand both in terms of salary as well as job opportunities availability.
