I would begin by informing you that there is no good or a bad field. There are certainly pros and cons associated to every field. However, what you make out of yourself absolutely depends on your capabilities. Therefore, the answer to this question is both yes and no.
There are women like Kalpana Chawla, and Indra Nooyi who opted for distinct careers and are appreciated for their remarkable work as well as reached pinnacle in their respective work field, while we seem to be still stuck in the notion girls can't do well in every field. If you really want to pursue mass communication, you should be determined to pursue it. There is no good or bad about a profession but yes, there are pros and cons that you should evaluate on your personal level. Mass communication encompasses various streams such as Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Event Planner, Editing and so on. All the streams are quite demanding yet promising.
