Well, the best course in design is the one you really enjoy and involve yourself to create best design solutions. On the other hand, become a product designer or industrial designer. These two gives you abundant flexibility to adapt yourself to any other design fields with hard core technicality.
Other fields of design, you must look on and will be on high demand:
    1. Communication design.
    2. Graphic design.
    3. Animation design.
    4. Film and video communication.
    5. Interior design.
    6. Textile design.

Here are the fields of Vision and Design. Vision requires an ability to absorb knowledge and find new perspectives. Then, the perspectives must be presented either as a Story or as a Documentary. This can also be translated into a new product, a new game, a live film, an animation, or a new graphic/ illustration. Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science.
The world has changed a lot and a lot of new and wonderful careers in design have come up. Sometimes, student artists are too much enamored by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. Again like science it pays to be at th

Ashira, this is a wonderful question. I think Mr. Vineet Raj Kapoor's answer above says it all. New fields like UI/ UX design, 3D printing, 3D projection mapping, virtual reality, augmented reality, etc. are all taking the world by storm and their path passes through design. So, you could do well if you aspire to be a designer. Wish you the best for your career. Remember, your career is a resultant of your knowledge combined with your passion & expression ability. If you like this answer you may select it as best answer or press like.

    Hi Ashira,
Previously, Mr. Arun rightly suggested that, Industrial/Product design stream has lot of scope and flexibility to switch to different domains. In addition to that there are around 20 different streams in design field in India. If you check www.nid.edu you can explore about all of them in detail.
I would suggest you to go through all streams and see which one interests you the most! Instead of taking approach of 'which field has more career opportunities', you should think of which one interests you the most and you would love to pursue as lifelong career and that's very important.
