Dear Rahul, If you are willing to start from the grass root level, I would suggest you to opt for B. Tech in Software Engineering. Software Engineering as a career has a demand for software engineers across the industries. Plenty of job opportunities are available for software engineers in a lot of software companies in India. Some of the recognized software companies consist of Wipro Ltd, HCL Infosystems Ltd, Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Infosys Technologies Ltd, Infotech Ltd, NIIT Ltd, IBM, Tata Infotech Ltd, etc. in the multinational companies such as Cisco Systems, Apple Computer, Dell etc are top employers in software market. Software Engineering is a sector which is very competitive and hectic but it’s a lucrative career option. For fresher’s software engineers are probable to test and confirm ongoing designs. Few computer software engineers with sufficient years of experience can find lucrative opportunities such as systems designers or independent consultants or they can even start their own computer consulting firms. Software engineers are also required in public/private sectors school and colleges. Moreover, software engineers can also start their own software company. They can also choose teaching as a career option in engineering colleges.
