Computer Science is more acceptable than IT. However, there might not be a difference but specialized learning in programming happens more in computer science. Placement is more in CA because companies are narrow minded.

Which course is better totally depends upon your area of interest. CSE involves a course curriculum covering both hardware and software. However, B.Tech in IT is more software-oriented. So CSE revolves around the designing of a computer gadget that should be economically preferred and less space-oriented. The major difference between both these fields is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real-life processes, while, Computer Science deals with the Science that facilitates these applications. On the other hand, IT is just the selection of the proper software or hardware for the task. LPU is a better option, in terms of placements, best curriculum, infrastructure, well-experie

Your area of interest will determine which course is best. The best engineering school in Punjab for CSE, in my opinion, is Lovely Professional University. The CSE department has seen a large increase in admissions, and it is now one of the most well-liked courses among engineering students. It emphasises the principles of networking and computer programming. I make this claim because the sibling of my cousin who took the same course at Lovely Professional University and achieved top marks did so. CSE is a fantastic subject to study at LPU, to be sure. One of LPU's branches with top placements is CSE.

Jobs in IT sector are found to follow the whims and fancies of recession process, but let's hope for the better. B.Tech in computer science is more of a computer hardware and systems-oriented course.
