Which course is better, aeronautical engineering or mechanical engineering in India?

    Hello Shashank, Theoretically speaking, both are similar courses. Proportion of placements vis-a-vis pass out is similar in both branches. However in India core jobs for aeronautical engineering graduates are very less. They changeover to software or do MBA or go abroad. They are not employable on main of civil aircraft since it requires DGCA licence. I would therefore rec mechanical engineering as compared with aeronautical engineering.
