Hi, It is better to go for B.Tech instead of B.Sc. CS because of following reasons: 1. In B.Tech CS you will study core subjects which forms the basis of computer Science. So if you want to be scientist it is better to study subject from basics. 2. B.Tech CS is practical oriented course while B.Sc. CS is theory oriented course. Now if you want to be scientist it would better if you are perfect in practicals. 3. B.Tech CS will give you more opportunities as it has everything to study from basics to the latest technologies and developments. At last decision will be yours but you have to take it carefully by thinking from every point of view. It is you who can judge you and your condition better than us. Our duty is to make you think only. But then it all depends on the eligibility, At LPU you can check your eligibility and go for further process at www.admission.lpu.in

B.Sc. Computer Science is 3 years of Graduation course while B.Tech is 4 years of Graduation course after which you will get Engineer's Degree. Benefits of B.Sc. Computer Science: If you have some social responsibility (like financial issue, family need or relocation issue) and you would like to finish your graduation as early as possible then you may select B.Sc. As it will be completed in 3 years instead of 4 years in case of B.Tech. Also course contents and syllabus level is somewhat easier than that of B.Tech, so you may spare some good amount of time for other responsibilities or commitments. Fees are less compare to B.Tech course. If you are specifically interested to study computer Science and you are not getting admission in B.Tech Computer Science (or similar type of branch as CS then you can go through B.Sc. CS where you can learn your interested kind of subjects. Moreover after completion of B.Sc. CS you are eligible for applying in MCA (which can be considered as equivalent to B.Tech CS) If above If. Are not constraints for you then I would like you to go with B.Tech. Benefits of B.Tech. : You will get more technical exposure in B.Tech compared to B.Sc. CS. Moreover, First year of B.Tech course comprises of Basic knowledge of various Engineering fields like Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Computer, Mathematics, etc. Which can be very helpful in your career. If you get selected for B.Tech in CS then undoubtedly you will be getting better course contents and deeper knowledge of Computer Science and its subjects. B.Tech will offer wide career options and decent future than B.Sc. CS If you get admission in a good B.Tech college / university then you will be having a good platform to develop your technical skills and knowledge at State or National level; if you are capable enough. My personal vote goes for B.Tech but, situation and view are different for person to person. So you have to decide what is better for you. There are many opportunities after B.Tech in Computer Science. The best placements are provided in the IT sector across the world and there is a tremendous salary package in the IT sector of India as well. Many companies/organizations take part in campus placements for the selection of students. If you do not want to pursue further studies in Computer Science, then the IT sector will be better for you. There will be excellent job opportunities in IT companies like IBM, Oracle, Nokia, Reliance Infotech, etc.

Computer Science and Information Technology are one of the most evergreen professions and will continue to rise in the years to come. I would say B.Tech CSE will be better as this course will provide more career option. My cousin brother has completed same course from Lovely Professional University, Reviews are pretty good. Well, the study of CSE in LPU is very good. CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of our students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Professors are easily approachable in the college and are well experienced. They are very supportive of all technicalities. Students can contact them anytime for their study purpose. The latest teaching methods are used in the classroom.
