B.Sc Agriculture is an undergraduate three-year course which deals with the study of fundamental principles of agriculture whereas B.Tech in Agriculture is a professional course of four years which deals with the study of engineering principles of agriculture. The reputation of the job profiles and also the remuneration of the B.Tech in Agriculture graduate are better than that of a B.Sc Agriculture graduate. The job opportunities available for a B.Tech in Agriculture graduate are comparatively better than that of a B.Sc Agriculture graduate.
  • If you want theoretical as well as practical knowledge go for B.Sc. And if practical knowledge is priority then go for B.Tech.

Agriculture, as an agrarian country, has enormous potential and will never run out of work prospects in the public and commercial sectors, as well as entrepreneurship opportunities. For recent grads, there are several government and private career prospects. When it comes to government jobs, state agriculture departments hire agriculture graduates for officer positions. They are also hired by government banks to fill officer positions (generally dealing with Loans). The following are some of the government sector organizations that have job openings:
    Indian Agricultural Research Institute
North Eastern Region Agricultural Marketing Corpo

Being an alumni of LPU I would rather say that the school of Agriculture in Lovely Professional University is among the best place for pursuing the B.Sc. In agriculture. As my brother has done the same from LPU. As B.Tech is also fine but the candidates pursuing B.Sc. In Agriculture can find a lucrative opportunities more as compared to B tech
Eligibility for admission in this course is as follows, 60% in 10+2/Intermediate with English Physics Chemistry and Maths/ Biology/ Forestry + LPU NEST or 60% in 10+2/Intermediate 10+2 (Agriculture) + LPU NEST or 60% in 2 year Diploma (Agriculture) after 10th + LPU NEST Age Condition :- Minimum

B.Tech in Agriculture Engineering provides higher career growth and high paying jobs in government and private based companies. The candidates pursuing B.Sc. In Agriculture can find a lucrative career growth in various private as well as government-based industries. Both fields have good career options, these courses are totally different to each other if you are interested in agriculture, you want to make your career in the field of farming, horticulture, agriculture, etc. Then go for B.Sc. Agriculture. This field never runs out of job opportunities, or if you are interested in technology, you want to become an engineer then go for B.

It really depends on your field of interest. If you think you have inherited genes of agriculture or engineering go with that only. Telling you frankly engineering has many job opportunities than bsc agriculture. Agriculture graduates have good chances and opportunities for government jobs as compared to engineers.
LPU is the only private university that has ICAR approval.
LPU Becomes the First Private University to be Granted ICAR Accreditation.
In addition to the regular course work, especially designed practical courses like Hands on training, Practical crop production, Rural and Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE), Nursery raising for
