English hons. is much preferable, as it give you much wider scope of study and gave you extensive knowledge about history of English language and literature and after doing that you can become content writer , if you are good in writing. ELL is much narrow scope. As compared to English (H), so most people opt for ELL for just speaking English fluently because they are from non-English background, on the other side English (H) gave you the broad concept of from where the English words came as in Latin, French.
