Which course is better among M.Sc. and MCA in terms of scope, placement and salary?

If you meant M.Sc Computer Science , both have same scope and salary. M.Sc-Computer Science is post graduation in Computer Science which is focused on Computer System Architecture and Designing, Communication and Networking, and Programming side. Entry / Eligibility : B.Sc-CS/ IT, BCA, B.Sc-Electronics etc. MCA is three year professional post graduate degree in Computer Applications. It is mainly focused on Software and its application, software development, web programming and application development etc.Even though duration is 3 Years, BCA,B.Sc-CS/IT graduates can complete it within 2 Years through Lateral Entry Scheme. Entry / Eligibility : BCA, B.Sc-IT/CS, Electronics, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Statistics, BE/ B Tech etc. OR B Com, BBA etc. with Maths as a subject of study OR Any Graduation with Maths @ HSc Level. Scope / Employment Opportunities - Opportunities are almost same for both graduates. Software firms prefer MCA graduates for software application programmer positions. But they will consider M.Sc-Graduates also. But for Networking and System Engineering / Software positions, M.Sc Graduates are preferred. After the course, both MCA and M.Sc graduates have opportunities as 1. Application Developer 2. Software Engineers 3. System Admin. 4. System Engineers 5. As teachers for IT / Computing subjects at HSc/ Graduate Level etc.
