Both the courses have equal importance but in my perspective in today's scenario PGDM is good but it should be equivalent to MBA by AIU (Association of indian university)

Both are same. It all depends on you. In my personal opinion college name and your skills matter rather than degree. -
Hi Alfred, Both the courses have same value as the course structure is same. The only difference is that PGDM is a post graduate diploma course, so you cannot do a PHD after a PGDM, as PGDM is diploma. But, You can do PHD after MBA. This is the major difference.
Students who want to have a degree equivalent to PHD after PGDM, they have to apply to FPM (Fellowship Program in Management) to get a degree which is equivalent to a doctorate degree.
