Which course is better among MBA and PGDM?

Master in Business Administration (MBA) is two years degree course in the field of management. In India MBA degree can be awarded by any recognised university or by a Business School affiliated to any university. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a two years diploma course offered by the institutes that are recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and which are autonomous and not affiliated to any university. It is not mandatory that a PGDM is equal to MBA. PGDM institutes accreditation by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) makes an institute's PGDM course equivalent to an MBA. There are a large number of similarities between the curriculum of both MBA and PGDM. An MBA institute follows a fixed curriculum as it will be based on the university guidelines which occasionally may not be aligned to industry requirements. Autonomous institutes do not follow university standards, so it is have the flexibility to align its curriculum according to industry standards and change in the business environment. Some of the PGDM from IIMs, XLRI etc has more value then MBA. However MBA of FMS DU, IIFT etc have similar value as IIMs. Students are advised to chose Institute based on its ranking not on nomenclature of degree. Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. Students are often confused while jotting down the differences between MBA vs PGDM when they think of pursuing a management course. While the course curriculum is similar, there are key differences which can help us decide which is better MBA or PGDM, and which has more value. PGDM is equivalent to MBA when the college is approved by AICTE. The key factors that we can use to choose between MBA or PGDM courses are Career Goals, Budget, Academic Background and Performance in MBA Entrance Exams, Ranking, and Placement Record of the College, and PGDM vs MBA salary in India. In this segment we will try to DE-CODE which is better for Government jobs MBA or PGDM First one thing must be kept clear. Both these degrees are considered to be equal in terms of qualification according to various government organizations. Candidates with MBA and PGDM are eligible to apply to various managerial positions such as management trainee, HR Managers, Logistics and supply chain management. Etc. The MBA course allows the candidates to develop sufficient expertise to clear tougher exams such SBI PO IBPS PO or the UPSC. In the case of PGDM degree, the candidates are more equipped to handle application based job roles such as supply chain official, channel marketing or relationship officers to name a few. Thus, in terms of the MBA vs PGDM dilemma for government jobs we can say each of them have their own set of advantages for different government jobs However, in some government jobs the candidates are required to produce a Postgraduate degree Certificate. Hello Both are considered equal in India; what matters more is from where are you pursuing it. For example, a PGDM from a top-ranked B-school is any day more valuable than an MBA from a lower-ranked university, and vice-versa.
