Which course is better among MBA and PGDM?

Hello, Both are considered as equivalent in India; what matters is from where are you pursuing it. For example, a PGDM from a renowned college will any day be more valuable than an MBA from an average university, and vice-versa.

Hi, Let me explain to you as you should be clear on this. Please remember, MBA degree is offered by universities, whereas, PGDM is offered by AICTE approved institutes. Both these courses have almost the same course curriculum. Both are good, but in PGDM there is very advance syllabus that's why IIM also offers PGDM degree. However, please remember while taking admission, your emphasis should be more on taking admission in good universities or institutes. You may consider some of the below-mentioned points while selecting an institute or university to pursue MBA or PGDM program: - Accreditation of the institute. - Institute's infrastructure. - Teaching faculty. - Specialization offered. - Past placements records. - Tuition fees. - City preference. - Industry interface. In order to pursue full-time MBA or PGDM program, you need to be a graduate in any field with at least 50% marks in graduation plus you need to take various management entrance test like CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP, etc. Please note that, the final selection in MBA or PGDM program is made on the basis of: 1. Education background of the students. 2. Score in various management entrance test. 3. Performance in group discussions and personal interview. 4. Work experience, if any. So think and then decide what you have to do. This is the difference between PGDM and MBA. The choice is yours. All the best.
