Which course is better among MBA in hotel management and B.Sc in hotel management?

Hi, MBA in hotel management is a PG course and can be done only after completing graduation. However, B.Sc in hotel management is a graduation course. If you want to make your career in hospitality industry then B.Sc in hotel management from a good IHM is enough and if you want to expand your knowledge base you can anytime go for an MBA in hospitality. If you are currently in 12th and looking after making your career in hospitality industry go for a B.Sc in hotel management.

Hi Siddhartha, As per your question, in my opinion, MBA in hotel management is a better course than the other one. But you firstly do B.Sc in hotel management and afterwards, you can pursue MBA from a recognised university.

MBA in hotel management is better between both the courses. The tag of MBA is alone a job magnet on its own and hotel management specialization.

Hi, Both MBA and hotel management are good course options and have ample scope in modern world. There are lucrative career options in both these fields. However, the course study and field of application is quite different in both these fields. Hence, you should take your decision as per your field of interest, your career aspirations and the institute in which you are getting chance of admission. If you compare both, then MBA will have an upper hand owing to its better job scope. But if you excel in hotel management you can raise to great heights in your career. Thus, it is recommended to go by your interest and comfort. Both are unique courses of their own, they have their own separate module and syllabus, but you have to make sure that you choose what you like in your life, This undergraduate hotel management course where you will be dealing with the operation and management of the hotel, mainly you won't be doing service, you will be in management section. You have great career options like you can work in Famous hotels like Taj, Oberoi and Welcome group, to an international chain like Hyatt, Sheraton, etc. You will get great chance to work in companies like KFC, McDonalds, etc. Where you will be getting as first salary around 10-15K per month or as a management trainee with 20K as a stipend, this is a great salary and later it will be increased upto 37k. Hotel Management or Master of Business Administration in hotel management is a postgraduate hotel management course. The Masters degree course is of two years after your Graduation.
