Which course is better among PGDM and MBA?

9 years agoPGDM is better as top ranking institutes offer PGDM and most other copy their curriculum so course-wise PGDM is better than MBA. Most importantly you should take admission in an institute that has better faculty members but not by their degrees but by their quality. Most importantly the placements and career progressions of the institute's alumni. Do not believe the institute people. Ask the students and alumni of the institutes you are targeting and they will tell you the truth which will be easy for you to decide the institute. -
In my view both are equivalent. PGDM is a postgraduate diploma which is given by stand alone / Autonomous Institutes which come under the jurisdiction of AICTE. MBA is a degree program provided only by Unversities and come under the jurisdiction of UGC. -

People often end up getting confused between MBA & PGDM. PGDM is run by autonomous body.While taking up PDGM, the advantage you get is that it being an autonomous body, they regularly update their syllabus so one can say as compared to MBA courses. Whereas an MBA, this change happens every 3-5 years. While selecting a college you should consider parameters like Infrastructure,Courses offered and so on. -
Hello Irfan! PGDM being a more practical oriented course is far better than MBA. PGDM is run by autonomous institutes, which focus on the employability of the candidates. the placement is also far better in PGDM. the best Institutes like IIM/XLRI/MDi etc have PGDM courses running.
