12th-science stream students, who have an interest in the sector of agriculture, may pursue this course. B.Sc. agriculture course is a great alternate to the B.E./B.Tech agriculture engineering program. Since India is an agrarian country, this field will never run out of job opportunities. To be honest, qualified professionals are always valued, when it comes to agriculture sector. Thus, it is evident that there is more than just one reason to pursue this course.

Hi Vivek Jha, Agriculture is a primary source of livelihood for the majority of Indians. Thus, generally it remains the last priority among students choosing a career option. Which is a very wrong assumption. Agricultural graduates have wide scope of career in public sector and private sector. In fact entrepreneurship is a great opportunity to pursue your prospective career in agricultural field. It is just a myth that Agriculture does not offer job opportunities. Lovely Professional University is the first private University who has got and accreditation from ICAR. Curriculum here is as per the guidelines of ICAR (Indian Council of Ag

Both the programmes are good. There are ample of opportunities in this field both in Government and in Private sector. Getting a good job depends on various factors like from where you have done your Graduation, your skills, your knowledge about the field, the Industrial experience and exposure if you have any. A graduate/ post-graduate in this field can get appointed as an Agricultural Research Scientist, Agriculture Officer, Production Manager, Farm Manager, etc. Interested students can also opt for jobs in the field of teaching, banking, and insurance. Competitive exams such as UPSC FCI, and other government jobs abound after B.Sc.

Agriculture is one of the demanding course nowadays. Well both courses are good, I will advice you to choose B.Sc. Agriculture, as Agriculture is considered to be the backbone of both the country as well as economy. India is a agriculture based country where it is given utmost priority. Beside government. Institutes, there are various private universities are also there which offer an undergraduate degree in agriculture. The few private B.Sc. Agriculture Colleges in India are
    Noida International University, UP
    Sharda University
    Geeta University, Panipat
    VIT, Tamil Nadu
    Chitkara University, Punjab
    Shoolini University, Himachal Pradesh.
