Economists point out that agriculture is four times more effective than other sectors in reducing poverty. It can even be a gold mine for young entrepreneurs. Besides, agricultural research needs young mind to initiate innovation. A very small percentage of our students opt for an agricultural major, only because they don't realize its potential. Agriculture is more diverse now than ever before, offering a wide variety of jobs. Agricultural technology is also advancing fast, creating new jobs. Salaries are increasing and a career in agriculture is today as rewarding as any other, if not more. The environmental Science course pushes you

It is usual to hear, B.Sc. Agriculture more lucrative, since one will be covering more broad topics of study which will also cover environmental sciences. Moreover, agriculture is the backbone of the country and dealing with its aspects is the demand of the time! Though due to the climactic change, environmental Science is also mushrooming as a degree but still present scenario has B.Sc. Agriculture as a more opportunistic field.

B.Sc. Agriculture is better. Because the agriculture field has lots of scope in the future and one can use their knowledge in lots of different fields.

B.Sc. Agriculture is on the higher side, as of 2018 in India. Ample opportunities and jobs in this sector are being made available to B.Sc Agriculture Graduates. Doon College of Agriculture, Dehradun offers B.Sc Agriculture course with 100% placements. This year, 109 companies arrived for the placement season.

Both courses are good. They have equal opportunities and demand but i would prefer Agriculture reason being Agriculture is less Competitive field and comparatively opportunities are more considering that we are primarily an agricultural country. A very small percentage of our students opt for an agricultural major, only because they don't realize its potential. One basic advantage that agriculture has over other sectors: other industries might need down-sizing, but feeding the world is a job that isn't ever going to face recession. The demand for trained professionals in the field of agriculture is high. The course fee is negligible. T

12th-Science stream students, who have an interest in the sector of agriculture, may pursue this course. B.Sc. Agriculture course is a great alternate to the B.E. /B.Tech agriculture engineering programme. Since India is an agrarian country, this field will never run out of job opportunities. To be honest, qualified professionals are always valued, when it comes to agriculture sector.
