Choosing between B.Tech Biotechnology and B.Sc Forensic Science depends on your interests and career goals. However, B.Tech Biotechnology, especially at Lovely Professional University (LPU), offers broader career opportunities, strong industry integration, and advanced research exposure. The program covers areas like genetic engineering, molecular biology, pharmaceuticals, and bioinformatics, supported by modern labs and placement support. While Forensic Science suits those interested in criminal investigations, B.Tech Biotechnology provides a wider, future-ready career scope globally.

Choosing between B.Tech in Biotechnology and B.Sc. in Forensic Science after your 12th board exams depends on your interests and career goals. If you're passionate about biology, genetics, pharmaceuticals, or research in healthcare and agriculture, Biotechnology offers a wide range of opportunities in both industry and academia, including roles in biotech firms, R&D labs, and even higher studies abroad. On the other hand, if you're intrigued by crime investigation, lab analysis, and applying science to law enforcement, Forensic Science opens exciting doors in police departments, detective agencies, legal firms, and government labs. Biotech has greater career opportunity. Forensic science is something offered by very few institutes and good professionals are always in demand. Firstly, you need to introspect your own interest. Whether you want a career in forensics or Biotech. After which, you can check the course fee, scholarships, scope, etc.
  • Both courses have their own importance and necessities in all the time. Having mastery or excellence in a field is the main key to unlock the doors of multiple jobs. what is best for me can't be best for you or vice-versa so, it would be better to figure out your interest first. Eligibility Criteria for both the courses is:
Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Biotechnology) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.

Hi.

If you apply with JEE Main scores, CU primarily considers your JEE Main percentile / AIR for admission.

12th marks are generally secondary in this case — mostly used for eligibility criteria (like minimum 50–60% in PCM or aggregate, depending on branch).

High JEE scores can also qualify you for JEE-based scholarships at CU.

Hi.

Yes — for admission to B.Tech/B.E. at Chandigarh University (CU), there is a requirement on your 12th‑class marks (along with other eligibility conditions), even if you're using your JEE Main score.

What's required from 12th (or equivalent) at CU

You must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognised board with Physics and Mathematics.

For many B.Tech courses at CU, including those that accept JEE Main or CU's entrance (CUCET), the minimum aggregate requirement in 12th is around 50% (for general or merit‑based eligibility) as a baseline.

Some sources show that for “full eligibility” (especially for certa

Hi.

If your 12th result has not been announced yet then

Upload expected / provisional marks for now.

Final admission depends on the official 12th mark sheet after results are announced.

Colleges are used to this situation, especially for students applying in early cycles.

Hi.

AIIMS is primarily a medical college/university (undergraduate, postgraduate, super-speciality, etc.) + a hospital.

Its courses begin after Class 12 — i.e. you must have completed 12th standard (10+2) to be eligible for entry into courses like MBBS, B.Sc., etc.

The official course list of AIIMS includes medical and allied health degrees — not school-level classes (11th / 12th) as per its academic catalogue.

Thus, AIIMS itself does not run 11th and 12th standard as a school.
