    Hi Ravish,
Every profession has its own job responsibilities which cannot be compared. However, JAVA developers have great career scope in terms of package and position.
Java developers get opportunities globally, to visit client site, performance bonus, appraisals, promotions, and get more career exposure.
Network engineers are limited to the organization as compare to the other profession. Their job profile is limited to some functional extents whereas Java developers don't limit to any specific job role, they can learn new technology as Java is the core programming language which used in all the latest technologies.

For a good job not only a degree is required, you can also do few certificate courses such as CCNA, CCNB, etc. You can also do Masters in that field.
You can opt for BE CSE, B.Tech IT, BCA or B.Sc in computer science.
