Which course is better in RVCE: BE in ECE or BE in CSE?

The choice RV College of Engineering is very nice as the institute is autonomous, funded by the state government. It is located at the prime location of Bangalore, the hub of many global and national corporates, this factor attracts the companies which is reflected in the recruitment drive through the number of quality placements and a high percentage of students getting placed. Students mainly opt for the core branches such a CSE, ECE and IT. When it comes to the comparison between the two, the main factor that need to be taken into consideration is the placement. No doubt, CSE has the largest placement and finds scope at the global level though EC also finds a nice placement but the chances of global placement and high salary would be more for CSE students. From RV College of engineering, the average package for CSE has gone at 11 lakh per annum & the highest being 22 lakh for the placement drive of 2017. Whereas from ECE, it was 7 lakh per annum and highest being 17 lakh per annum. This may be the comparison although fieldwork is less in CSE but ECE students are more mentally comfortable. So decide wisely.

RVCE is the best college in Bangalore or the colleges in COMEDK authority. It is the most reputed college in the state and is known for its excellence in placement every year. Now to answer your question, it totally depends on what you are looking for, if you are really passionate for a branch, being computer science or electrical and electronics engineering according to the question, you should first go for that, as both the courses have really good faculty in RVCE and would ensure you the best of placements. So you need to decide that is it computer or physics that excites you the most. If placement is everything that you seek for, then computer science engineering would be the right choice for you, only because the number of core companies visiting to recruit computer science engineers is a lot more than the number of ECE core companies, and this is the scene in almost every engineering college. Also, the highest placement package offered to the students is always in favor of computer science branch. Hope you do well.

Hello, There is no such thing as a better branch in engineering. It depends on your interest and what you want to do. Both ECE and CSE are very diverse fields and it is nearly impossible to compare both the streams in terms of their course outline. So, now coming to other factors about faculty, infrastructure and placements. Faculty: Both the departments have equally good faculties. However, as per students of RVCE, CSE has better faculties as compared to ECE. The faculty members for CSE are more friendly and lenient when it comes to attendance. Infrastructure: Both the departments possess excellent labs set up by the companies. Both the branches offer equal opportunities in terms of research and development. Projects in both the branches are generally funded by the companies. Placements: Again, almost all the companies which come for CSE placements allow ECE students to sit for placements except a very few. Current semester placement boasts the package of 25 LPA and counting. These are offered by top giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, Intuit, Goldman Sachs, Cisco, Morgan Stanley, Walmart Labs, Mckinsey & Co., Intel, Qualcomm, Sling Media, Cypress Semiconductors, Airtel, etc. Hope it helps.

Hi there, RVCE is among top colleges of India, it secures 1st position in top private colleges of Bangalore, all the branches at RVCE is top notch with excellent placements records. However, if you are comparing between ECE and CSE then CSE somehow more better in terms of placements stats due to the fact that Bangalore being an IT hub of India.
