    Hey Naseem,
It's always good to prefer B.Tech over courses like B.Sc as it would give you more opportunities. However it also depends on the university you are studying in. Also you do have a course like B.Tech Biotechnology, which you can consider. Companies also prefer engineering graduate over B.Sc or other courses. Suggesting you some good colleges also-

    Hello,
Great interacting with you. I believe food tech has more scope in India in comparison to the others. With numerous food companies coming up in recent times and with the government. Releasing huge funds for the agriculture and food sectors, this area promises a bright scope indeed. Choose a fundamental subject and if it interests you, specialize in it. It's easier to get employed when you are skilled in a particular subject because it becomes easy to define your role. But if you're willing to become an entrepreneur, study biotechnology or food technology, it can take you places. If you found it useful then upvote or thumbs up my a

    Hi Naseem,
Looking at future for food technology, it is obviously very promising. Universities and colleges around the globe are adopting this branch of food Science into their curriculum. Degrading soil, polluted environment and water shortages will rise as major problems to the humankind. These outcomes of rapid growth will bring with them the need to produce high quality food with efficiency. We need people who can use technology to produce optimum quantity of food that meets the daily nutrition needs of human beings. This is where food technology specialists come in.

Hello, It was great talking to you. In compared to other countries, I think India has more potential for food technology. With the government and the plethora of new food businesses that have just emerged. This region, which releases significant money for the food and agriculture industries, has a very promising future. Select a foundational subject and, if it appeals to you, become an expert in it. When you are knowledgeable in a certain field, it is simpler to identify your function in the workplace. But it can get you someplace if you're willing to start your own business, research biotechnology, or study food technology. Please vot

B.Tech in food technology has a good scope because in India, FMCG sector is growing and every FMCG company needs food technology candidate, good companies are Parle agro, Mondelli India, Nestle, Britania, Marico, Godrej, Amul and many more. You can work also in dairy industries as more dairy units in India are expanding their projects. B.Sc is always preferred in industries. B.Sc candidates easily get jobs than any B.Tech graduate.

Both are very good in terms of choice of subjects but I will suggest you to go for B.Tech course over B.Sc from a good university or college.
The first thing is that a B.Tech graduate can always apply for a nontechnical job in any sector which needs a graduate candidate, but a B.Sc can't get a job where the market needs a technical graduate.
And nowadays, FMCG sector is growing in India and in the world day by day. So in my view, B.Tech in food technology is surely the better option.
