    Dear Alpita,
When we talk about the difference between these two - the most important one is, MBA is recognised globally so as not in case of PGDM.
Second one is- After completing MBA, one can go ahead with further studies I.e. PhD or so. Same isn't with PGDM as its not a degree course.
Now, to career prospect- A degree is always highly valued than a Diploma.
But while going for admission, do consider those colleges which are offering PGDM which is equivalent to MBA.
    All the best.

    Hi Alpita,
There is no difference between MBA and PGDM. The only difference is that MBA is offered by University and PGDM by AICTE approved colleges. PGDM colleges are generally more autonomous than MBA universities which is why they are more industry oriented.
  • Well, it depends since PGDM offers more practical insight and the pedagogy is flexible while MBA syllabus is as designed by the university so both have their own advantage.
