mechanical is evergreen branch you will defeinately get job in that field even you can go into software also in government sector defence it has lot of scope

if u love to do some things with machines or u know just fijit with some of them trying to get it repair then u must go for mechanical its a vast field with great scope and job oppurtunities not only in india but through out the world.

It depends on one's personal choice but under the circumstances I would suggest Mechanical.

of course you must incline towards mechanical engineering...!! and nowadays a new branch known as Mechatronics has arrived in some indian colleges it deals with Core Robotics and Mechanics
