There are many individuals who are often in a confusion when they are offered a Masters level course. Both degrees are same. It is a nomenclature difference. In Indian only university can award MBA. Some independent B Schools award PGDM. It is suggested that go by Institute's brand image not by name of degree.

Agreed, MBA is awarded by a university and does not require an approval of AICTE. However, an autonomous Institute required AICTE approval to offer PGDM degree. Both are equivalent and the outcome is almost similar. It totally depends on the name and value of the institute or university from where y
