Which course is better to pursue after class 12th, BCA or B.Sc in information technology?

If you are fully determined towards IT industry and want to build a career in the IT sector then I'd recommend you to go for BCA as BCA is a technical course which is fully oriented towards IT industry, whereas, B.Sc is a general course.

Both the courses are related to computers and you will learn a lot about software and their applications in both the courses so both are good but B.Sc IT seems a bit tough. And, if you are really excellent in mathematics, then B.Sc is the right choice for you.

I will suggest you to do BCA is a blend of Science, Commerce, Management Studies & Computer Science. It helps you holistically, hence, opening up opportunities for a lot of industries. BCA is Bachelor of Computer Applications and is concerned with the applications of computers. It is a 3-year graduation degree course generally for those students who wants to learn computer languages and want to join software firms after it. Higher education opportunities include MCA and MBA.
B.Sc IT deals with information technology and its applications. This degree is primarily focused on subjects such as software, databases, wireless and networking. Jobs in IT are found to be recession dependent, but let's hope for the better and talk about positives.

BCA stands for the Bachelor in Computer Application. BCA is 3 year graduation degree course generally for those students who wants to learn Computer languages and after that who wants to join Software, In today's time, every course have its own importance. BCA have also there own uniqueness and exposure. A Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, is a Bachelor's degree awarded for an undergraduate course or programme in the Information technology field. The degree is normally required in order to work in the Information technology industry. Both courses have their own importance.

Depends on your long-term goals. In case you are unsure of that, you might want to consider some of these factors: The job opportunities after BCA are far better than B.Sc. The pay package that one gets after BCA will be better than what one gets after B.Sc.
